Jacqueline's Confirmation

We had a wonderful day on Thursday, May 19, 2006. Jacqueline was ready to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Mom presented her with a lovely necklace holding the Holy Spirit that she had received from her Mother in Law years ago. Jacqueline left at 2:30 with her sponsor, Aunt Loretto, she looked beautiful in her dress and gown and her maturity and fill of the spirit shined through. In the church Bishop Burbridge put all the children at ease letting them know that he would only pick on them if they raised their hands. he went through the gifts of the Holy Spirit and told a humours story of how a friend of his who worked ath the old vet stadium would walk out after he was done work and the autograph seekers would see him and say 'hey are you somebody' and he would reply with a simple no. and finally, he decided he would say "i am somebody, I am Mike and I work in the accounting office!" they all shrugged their shoulders, but he made the paint that in God's eyes all the children are special and receiving this gift brings you closer to him and the Holy Spirit. Aunt Loretto couldn't have been better sitting in the back pew with her mom, dressed in white and knowing that she would provide a special solace to jacqueline for the day. she glanced and smiled and 'pawed' a few people to let them know her importance in the ceremony. she went up w/ jacqueline and put her hand on her shoulder. Jacqueline let Grandmom know that it was Auntl Loretto's hand upon her shoulder and to make sure she wouldn't pull her hair!

In the congregation was Jacqueline's mom, dad, grandmom and GodFather, Uncle Frank. We all enjoyed the special day for her. Grandpop was nice enough to stay home and watch the other sisters, the Holy Spirit was mulit-tasking as he had to keep a special eye on him w/ the Ricciardi youngsters.

We had a grand party on Saturday and all of the aunts and uncles came to celebrate a new step in Jacqueline's life. She has been doing a tremendous job, in school, sports, dance and w/ the Holy Spirit. The guidance of the spirit will make her a more unique lovely girl.
